At Mott Children's Hospital
Exploration Essay
In my narrative essay, I explore the process of touring the C.S. Mott Children's Hospital in Ann Arbor, MI. This project was born out of a curiosity to explore medical spaces and the ways in which they are designed. The interior design and cultivation of medical spaces are such an important part of the hospital experience and one I investigate here.
One of the Playrooms on Site
Many of the floors have playrooms. Where patients can go and play, create, and socialize. No medical operations or conversations occur in any of the playrooms.
The inside of the entryway is filled with superheroes! Spiderman climbing the wall, Wonder Woman near the doors, and of course Superman.
